November progress

So many months later and a few more finished projects and current wips to share

Finished Projects
1. "Countdown to Christmas" by Country Cottage Needleworks (http://www.countrycottageneedleworks.com/winterandholiday.html) on 18 count aida (rustico oatmeal).
Pattern, aida cloth, and thread was bought from InStitches Needleworks  (http://institchesneedlework.com/).
Pattern took me 36 hours to complete (project and time was tracked in the Cross Stitch journal by FQS https://www.fatquartershop.com/the-cross-stitch-journal)
plan is to find a frame that will allow enough space for a magnetic board behind so nieces can move two magnets (one each) as they count down to xmas. I hope to find a nice frame on Saturday (let some of the black Friday die down.

2. My first professional framed project completed by InStitches Needleworks  (http://institchesneedlework.com/). This frame sits perfectly above the bed in the master bedroom.
These are the four log patterns I began in April 2018 and finished in May 2019 and the patterns created and bought from Kathie Rees (http://www.needledelights.com/index.php/store/details/29/7.htmlhttp://www.needledelights.com/index.php/store/details/18/7.htmlhttp://www.needledelights.com/index.php/store/details/28/7.htmlhttp://www.needledelights.com/index.php/store/details/64/7.html). The fabric and thread was bought from InStitches Needleworks  (http://institchesneedlework.com/).
Wips
1. I decided to join the Fat Quarter Shop's Winter Village Club #fqssnowvillage (my first cross stitch club experience) and although I am two months behind I am hoping to catch back up over the holidays with lots of travel time.(https://www.fatquartershop.com/nsearch/?q=snow+village+club)so far this center pattern has taken me 20 hrs to get to this point (tracking in the Cross Stitch journal by FQS https://www.fatquartershop.com/the-cross-stitch-journal)

2. of course life would be incomplete without a bit of quilting. So I have purchased two quilting challenges from Quilting is My Therapy
#QIMTBuildAQuilt, #QIMTFreeMotionChallengeQuiltPanel
a. free-motion-challenge-quilt-panel so I can practice free motion quilting with my domestic machine.
status - all materials obtained (panel and backing from QIMT https://quiltingismytherapy.com/product/free-motion-challenge-quilt-panel/), thread and battling from The quilter's Studio (https://www.quiltersstudiova.com/)
No image yet as I have not started

b. Build a Quilt 2019-2020 from QIMT with Sugar Sugar color scheme
https://quiltingismytherapy.com/product/build-a-quilt-online-registration-us/

picture below is the first block which took me at least two evenings to complete (grades had to be posted and so could not devote entire night to the block)

3. of course I still need to finish the build a quilt from 2018-2019 which will be completed as a quilt one block at a time before making it into a blanket. it is my hope it will allow me to strengthen my quilting skills in a smaller format before approaching the larger quilt on a domestic machine.  Will post pictures later.
