Current Quilt WIPS
Currently I have 5 tops in different stages of piecing.
1. tula pink (city blocks) - I have the first 8 blocks completed (back in Jan 2020 and have not jumped back onto this set but plan on returning to this in September). I really enjoy working with the batiks and creating the 6 inch blocks can be a challenge if you are not careful. I found using a scrap to get the sewing machine started lessens my frustrations.
2. Serendipity (FQS) - I was able to start the first two rows before the family packed the house up and lived out of a three different hotels for 3 months before moving into our new to us ranch style house. and since we have moved into the new house I have managed to get the backing partially pieced before getting back to finishing the rows. Hoping to finish this mid sept this year.
3. Sew By Row (Lori Holt)
I have managed to cut out all the material for the first row and completed one pair of scissors before the move occurred. I hope to be able to catch up before the last row is sent out:). It is my hope that the next few scissors will be better in the handle parts (the wrinkles in the handles) as this is my first Lori Holt piecing pattern and if so then I can try to redo this one (If there is enough left over cloth).
4. Sewcialites quilt along (FQS)
Completed the 33/36 Plan on getting caught up on this set this august as I finally found the box with the scraps for the last three blocks. I am thinking of doing the X pattern that I have seen others do.
5. Bats and Boos (FQS) - have received the cloth set and will be working on this over the weekend.
6. The build a Quilt By Angela Walters
I have completed the first 6 blocks but I currently only have the picture of the 5 or 4th block
I do look forward to catching up on this quilt top.
Once these tops are finished I will begin using all of the quilting tools/rulers I have collected to actually finish my own tops...so maybe 2022 will be a finishing year?
