I fell down the rabbit hole and made my first project bag.

1st Project Bag (March 2021)

I hemmed and hawed about making my own project bag for the last three months but the knowledge/pressure of knowing I spent money on the supplies finally pushed me to finish this bag. The colorful squares are a random charm squares that I quilted 1/4 away from the seam side and this sat in the craft room for two months before I added the zipper to the quilted portion. I then waited another month before getting enough courage to work with the vinyl and the binding. It quickly became clear I had added messed up with adding the cloth to the zipper that also is sewn onto the vinyl and this results with the zipper sitting funny when it is open. The back is the grunge grey dot cloth that is visible on the top of the bag and the binding. It is also my first time completing a binding on a project larger than an mug rug and it was a bit challenging with working with the vinyl. Many lessons learned and hopefully the next one will be easier to complete.
